Thursday was to be a short day, just traveling from Birmingham to Nashville. But after spending a couple of hours in Nashville we decided to press on into Kentucky. We saw the first signs of others traveling to Sturgis when, at a rest area, we met up with two guys from Zephyr Hills FL. Mike and Zoomer ( that is the only name we got but it seemed to fit based on his rate of travel ). We caught up with them again waiting out a rain storm at the Flying J Truck stop somewhere on I 24 in Kentucky. Once the storm passed we rode the rest of the afternoon with no other issues.
