It's not the destination, it's the journey...

It's not the destination, it's the journey...It is less than a week now until Debbie and I will embark on our journey. It is one that we have talked about for the better part of a year, one that we will certainly enjoy but will offer challenges as well. You see we'll travel not by 1st class air or by RV or car, but instead will ride, closely tucked one behind the other on our 2006 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Classic - black of course. After some discussion we took the 1st step around January by securing hotel reservations in Rapid City SD, near Sturgis, which each year in August hosts one of the largest and oldest bike rallies in the world. By this time we had also decided that since we would be so close, it made sense to extend our travels to Wyoming and stop in Yellowstone and Jackson. And since we had to head south to return home, a stop in southern Utah seemed not too far out of the way, and soon appropriate reservations were made in these areas as well. So as we apporach our date of departure it is time to begin final preparations for this ride that will likely encompass more than 3 weeks and during which we will travel more than 6,000 miles
